Yes, we use the safest chemicals on today’s market. All of our treatments are pet, family and environmentally friendly.

Yes by using a professional we ensure it is safe for your pets when a treatment is being applied. We use the exact same chemicals and methods at our home around our fury friends and pets. We treat every home or business like we would our own.

At the time of a treatment to be carried out if necessary for precautionary reasons our technician will advise to remove any pets from the area while being sprayed and treated for at least half an hour after or until the chemical is dry. Remove feed and water bowls prior to treatment. Birds should be covered, fish inside the home should be covered with cling wrap and a towel and fish in ponds should be covered with a tarp. Reptiles should be removed from the property while the treatment is being carried out.

OzPest solutions uses only APVMA products that have been approved in hospitals, Kitchens, schools and child care centres however; we do take precautions and recommend keeping any small children from coming into contact with the chemical while it is wet.

We also recommend that if anyone suffers from asthma, allergies or if someone is pregnant that they are not present in the room or area while we are spraying until the technician is done in that area to be treated and advises it is right for return. The technician will advise in further detail on the day but by all means no need to leave the property.

No, you don’t need to leave the home for your treatment.

No, by using a professional we take care not to contaminate any food, cutlery or plates/bowls and cooking utensils. But it is important to not have opened or unsealed food around when the treatment is occurring.

We recommend that you clean the floors before your treatment to have a surface as clean as possible as we ask you not to carry out any mopping for a couple of days after a general spray and two weeks after a flea treatment.

Generally speaking no, you don’t have to empty kitchen cupboards at all, it is rare but the only time we may ask you to empty kitchen cupboards is when our technician deems it necessary to obtain optimum results mostly due to large German cockroach infestation or to gain access to an area of importance.

Other than that, we only ask you to cover any open food on bench top. If it is necessary our technician will notify you on the day.
When OzPest treats cupboards we apply gel to kitchen cupboards, hinges and only apply a direct nozzle aerosol to harbourage areas.

Yes, for residential properties, we ask that any animal bowls and bedding are removed from the floor area and any children’s toys or loose items, shoes, clothing, moved away from the skirting broads.
